Returning from the Hebrides, we enjoyed a delightful two-night stay at Braeside Guesthouse. Jon and Cherry provided a warm welcome. The rooms offered comfortable amenities, and the breakfast selection was impressive. Lots of options and very generous portions. They were quick to accommodate our request for the next morning. Beautiful scenic views added to the charm. the common areas could benefit from better sound insulation. noise was noticeable at times. the patio space seemed underutilized, lacking more seating. a lovely place with room for small enhancements.

What’s great and what’s not
Excellent location, just outside the town buzz, yet only a short drive away. Jon and Cherry were warm, creating a homely atmosphere.
Breakfast issues were disappointing, with mouldy bread raising concerns about food quality. Inconsistent maintenance led to broken fixtures detracting from comfort.

Welcoming hosts and generous breakfast
We had an amazing two-night stay after our trip to the Hebrides, just a short drive from central Oban. Jon & Cherry made us feel right at home, and the breakfast was beyond generous with plenty of options. They even accommodated a special request for our second morning, which was a nice touch. The only thing we didn't care for was the Google Alexa in the room. we unplugged it, but I guess others might find it useful.

The cozy lounge area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and the variety of breakfast options featuring local produce made each morning a delightful experience. I loved the view from my room, which really captured the essence of the location—definitely worth it.
The common areas had noticeable noise issues, which detracted from the experience at times. The bathroom was cramped and poorly designed, making it a bit uncomfortable when trying to navigate. some fixtures had been neglected, reflecting a need for consistent maintenance. To top it off, I ran into some internet connection problems, which can be a pain when you're trying to get things sorted out. Lastly, I found some unexpected charges that left a sour taste regarding transparency in pricing.

We had an awesome time with friends! Exploring local hiking trails and fishing spots was a blast. The owners made sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh options. We loved the comfy vibe and beautiful views. Perfect spot if you enjoy a place out of town but close to activities.
The only downside was that the common areas could use better sound insulation. sometimes the noise was a bit distracting.

had an amazin stay at braeside, the owners are super friendly and made us feel right at home. breakfast was just fantastic, with so many options to choose from. our room wasn't huge but was cozy and decorated nicely. the view from the breakfast room was really nice, great spot to chill. loved the extra touches like homemade cookies in the room.
the room felt a bit cramped at times, and could use more sound insulation between the walls.
